David Dvorak
Dave remembers voting for Gerald Ford in a 3rd grade mock election, as well as the gloom which surrounded his home by the election of Carter, so his conservatism predates pimples. He believes western civilization faces a paramount evil in Islamic Fascism, no less threatening then the fascist and communist of the last century. The carnage of 9/11 and thereafter clarified to him that this was no small handful of radicals, but a worldwide movement counting not in the thousands, but in the millions, and their ultimate goal is the destruction of our culture and the establishment of Sharia law worldwide.
He created this blog as a small redoubt to challenge our own self-loathing and reveal our enemy as the vile creatures they are, which demand our fierce attention. And yes, he does believe there is real evil about the world, and doesn’t think it’s sophisticated in anyway to hold we are somehow “beyond” that; this is just plain stupid and escapist. As such, he does believe the liberal West is the best society on this earth and is worthy of a defense from this barbarism.
David is research analyst (really a programmer but he can’t come to grips with that) for a financial firm on the east coast. He holds a CFA and FRM designation, has an Economics and M.B.A. degree from Boston University, and is currently pursuing his Masters in Applied Math from Towson University. He lives in Highlandtown, a knoll which overlooks the vibrant and charming Patterson Park, the backyard of Baltimore. He is most proud of his son, Sebass, who is attending his own alma mater (kind of) Calvert Hall. He has weird obsession with Shakespeare and would retire to be engrossed his works if the world would allow.
Marty Droney
Marty is a director of IT Projects for a worldwide producer and general contractor of trade shows and conventions. Marty holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and an M.S. in Management of Technology from Lehigh University. He resides in Las Vegas, NV with his wife, Alexandra Ward.
Marty freely admits to the fact that in another time and place, he voted for the Presidency of Bill Clinton (twice). But the events of 9/11 and three hard years of living in the People’s Republic of San Francisco changed his world view. He is now a staunch believer in conservative government, a strong national defense, strict constructionist judges, a secured border and a limit to unnecessary and unwarranted political correctness.
Marty is head coach of the Coronado High School Lacrosse team as well as a member of the Sin City Lacrosse Club. His other hobbies (habits) include tournament poker, golf and the Baltimore Ravens.
