Anon,
A quibble. There is no "Republican movement." There IS a conservative movement and it was, for a time, central to the Republican Party. But the Republican Party has moved away from conservatism and toward some unprincipled mushy middle. Likely 12 years of having power, culminated by absolute power from 2000-2006, convinced the Republican Party that getting reelected mattered more than doing good.
A time in the wilderness will force the Republican Party to get back to principles. However, it appears that Democrat Party is racing toward self-immolation.

Your last 4 posts:
- The Nobel Peace Prize going to Al Gore
- Hilary Clinton's dumb idea to promote savings in the US
- anti Movie actors who visit idiotic dictators
- anti Bruce Springsteeen for his views or for expressing his views

Why do these things matter to you? Is this your defense of the West?

How about a look in the proverbial mirror? Is any comment on how to improve the Republican party or the U.S. "self loathing"? Are things right with the Republican party and the current administration?

As I said to you many years ago (maybe even pre-9/11) I was afraid that Bush was going to set the Republican movement back and whether it's Bush or not, the Republican movement has been set back. I find it hard to believe anyone could even argue that isn't a fact.

I'm still looking forward to a post that challenges the Republican party or this administration to change for the better (and I'm not talking about dissing a local congressmen because he has liberal votes).

Marty,

Did you forget that the United Nations and its Secretary-General, Kofi Annan, both won the Noble Peace Prize in 2001? These are two more WORTHLESS RECEPIENTS and two additional black eyes for this meaningless organization!

http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/europe/1595168.stm

Do you remember Annons’ Food for Oil program? “Billions of dollars have gone AWOL from the oil-for-food program. The biggest problem in tracing any missing money is that Annan operated the program in secrecy, accountable to nobody. All requests to open the oil-for-food program books have been flatly denied.”

http://www.canadafreepress.com/2003/main042803.htm

This, of course,is similar to AlGores’ “Carbon Offsets Program in which AlGore uses carbon offsets to COVIENTLY repay himself through a company he owns, “Generation Investment Management.”

Bernie
N.B. Sometimes BAD things happen for a GOOD reason!
Slightly off topic but nevertheless.
Thank God that Bill Clinton was impeached and NOT CONVICTED by the Senate.
Otherwise AlGore would have become our president.

Dave,

You may have forgotten that General Kofi Annan AND The United Nations Organization each shared the Nobel Peace Prize in 2001. TWO MORE WORTHLESS RECEPIENTS!!

Lest we forget, Annan’s very own ‘Food for Oil” program in which “Annan operated the program in secrecy, accountable to nobody.”

Striking similarities exist between this and AlGores' carbon offsets,' where he pays himself for planting trees through a company he owns, "Generation Investment Management"!

What Blatant Hypocrisy!

Bernie
N.B.
This is a little off subject but just think,If Bill Clinton had been impeached, & CONVICTED, AlGore would have become president.
