I suspect that greater narcissism exists in the populations that oppose rather than support our nation's efforts in the middle east. While anti-war activists claim to be driven by concern for our soldiers, I think they actually view their own lives in a bubble (no pun intended regarding bubble girl at the rally -- a perfect illustration) in which they want no discomfort, but war is uncomfortable. This "bubble" is the result of narcissism; otherwise, it is clear that our nation's efforts benefit not only our own citizens, but also citizens of the global community.
